DDD - Dias da Dança Festival takes a positive view of its 5th edition, which was held in mixed format, ON THE STAGE and AT HOME, between the 20th and 30th of April.
With the capacity of the theatres reduced to 50%, DDD attracted, over 11 days, about 2300 spectators, who attended 12 live performances, almost all of them sold out, in the cities of Porto, Matosinhos, Gaia and Viana do Castelo.
The online programme reached around 9700 views, among performances, masterclasses, talks, documentaries and parties on the festival's different platforms (BOL, Youtube, Facebook and Zoom).
Almost 80 programmers from 16 countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Switzerland) were among the audience of an atypical edition. Unable to travel to Portugal, they followed, nevertheless, the performances online - among them the world premieres of the new creations by Jonas & Lander, Ana Isabel Castro, Catarina Miranda, Renan Martins & Frankão, and Jorge Jácome & Marco da Silva Ferreira.
The exhibition For a timeline to be... opened on April 22. It remains open until July 11 at the Serralves Museum.
