SIRI, by Marco da Silva Ferreira and Jorge Jácome, is one of the 13 new projects supported by the prestigious NEW SETTINGS programme from the Fondation d’entreprise HERMES. SIRI is also one of the new titles premiering at the forthcoming DDD (April 15 – May 2, 2021).
Ten years after its first edition, New Settings has grown to become a year-round programme divided in 3 periods (Autumn 2020, Spring and Summer 2021), which will present, in France, the 13 selected titles. SIRI is scheduled for the Summer.
Before that, in Springtime, audiences from the DDD will discover this show which explores several binomials ‑ material and immaterial, stability and speed, physical and psychological, challenge and fear, human and technological.
SIRI is a new step in the collaboration between choreographer
Marco da Silva Ferreira (one of the very first Young Associated Artists from Teatro Municipal do Porto) and filmmaker Jorge Jácome (whose shortfilms have been awarded at several international showcases), following their previous work IRIS.
