Thomas Hauert after training at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, moved to Brussels in 1991. He danced for three years in Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s company Rosas, then collaborated with Gonnie Heggen, David Zambrano and Pierre Droulers. In 1998 he founded his company ZOO and has since created around 20 performances with his Brussels company ZOO and his shows have been staged worldwide. The relationship with music, all music from pop to contemporary by way of jazz or baroque, plays a key role in his work. His teaching methods that are internationally recognized, collaborated with P.A.R.T.S in Brussels. Since 2013, Thomas Hauert is the academic director of the bachelor degree in contemporary dance
opened within the theatre academy La Manufacture in Lausanne.
