Sign Language Interpretation, audiodescription
and braille increase accessibility
Over the latest years, several practices of physical, social and intellectual accessibility integrated the missions of several institutions (increasingly aware of role they play for a larger inclusion and cultural democratisation).
In this context, the DDD – Festival Dias da Dança is no exception. Taking these
themes into account, the 2022 programme includes performances in Portuguese Sign
Language Interpretation and audiodescription.
Samba
de Guerrilha (April 27 – Coliseu Porto Ageas) and Anda, Diana (April 29 and 20 – Teatro Municipal Matosinhos Constantino Nery) will feature
Portuguese Sign Language Interpretation.
The first dates of Anda, Diana and miramar (April 24 – Teatro Rivoli) will feature audiodescription, targeting people
with visual impairments (blind or low vision).
General information on the DDD and on two performances (Anda, Diana and miramar)
are also available in braille, for consultation, at the Ticket Offices of the respective
presentation venues.
The goal of progressively turning the DDD into a more accessible festival is
possible due to the sponsoring of BPI and Fundação “la Caixa” and to the
support of Acesso Cultura (Teatro Municipal do Porto is associated since 2021).
