In this edition, DDD has once again invited artists to closely follow the entire festival. These artists will be in residency at CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva and will have the opportunity to experience a 3Dimensional experience.
AURA, João Oliveira, and Wura Moraes are this year's guest artists who will have the opportunity to participate in all workshops and attend all shows. On April 22nd and 29th, they will open the doors of the studio at CAMPUS PCS to the public to showcase all the work that was developed while they were in residence.
AURA was born in Porto and merges visual arts, performance, theater, and dance. João Oliveira, also from Porto, graduated from Bath Spa University's dance program and has collaborated with Carlos Costa, Né Barros, and Wili Dorner. Wura Moraes, a Portuguese-Brazilian dancer, trained at École des Sables in Senegal and focuses on the intersection between contemporary, urban, and Afro-Brazilian dance.
These Guest Artists' Previews are part of the 3D Program (Diffusion, Disruption, and Discussion), a program dedicated to programmers to promote contact with artists and the discussion of issues related to artistic practices and society. In addition to the guest artists' previews, there will also be (S)PITCHES in which several artists will be sharing their projects and processes.
In 2022, Ana Isabel Castro, Djam Neguin, Gaya de Medeiros, and Iara Izidoro, who present their latest works in this edition, were guest artists.
