This year, in its 7th edition, the DDD joins once again to the CAMPUS PCS to deepen the sharing of experiences and dance practices. The program, aimed to professionals and advanced level students in performing arts, features workshops and expanded practices by various artists. In addition to these, DDD CAMPUS offers free and open classes of Yoga and Portuguese sign Language.
From Monday to Friday, between 8h00 and 9h00 am, the CAMPUS will receive Ana Santos Silva and Jovita Ivanaviciute from Casa Ganapati to lead yoga classes. Also form Monday to Friday, from 15h30 to 17h00, are available Portuguese Sign Language classes with Joaquim Viana. These classes are free and open to everyone.
The workshops, aimed at professionals and advanced level students in performing arts, will allow for an exploration of body and movement with Brigel Gjoka, who will deepen the way energy flows through every joint (17th and 18th of April). With Gaya de Medeiros, the goal is to play with body and vocal performance in the encounter with the public (18th april). Dages Juvelier Keates will explore choreographic practices of writing, tracking, and drawing through breath and movement (19th and 21st of April). Rui Silveira brings a workshop with strategies for the international diffusion of contemporary performing arts, addressing some traps to avoid and tools he developed (21st of april). Diana Niepce invites us to think about the body from the inside out and as a place of possibilities states and perspectives (22nd and 25th of April). With Vânia Doutel Vaz, the intention is to build tools to find a balance between gut feeling and commitment to the artistic object (24th and 25th of April). Vania Vaneau takes us to through physical and sensory experiences through different forms and textures (24th and 25th of April). Caroline Gravel will question the fundamental nature of reality while playing with the essence of consciousness (26th and 27th of April). At lats, Marijke Vandermissen will explore the principles of show creation and the reality of planning them (29th of April).
Choreographers Tânia Carvalho (29th and 20th of April) and Faye Driscoll (26th and 28th of April) are going to have a sharing moment of repertoire and processes. To complete this program, there will also be expanded practices with Luísa Saraiva (from 17th to 21st of April) and Joana Castro (24th and 30th of April). Ticket purchases for the practices should be made through campuspcs.pt .
To close DDD CAMPUS, we'll be having the Vogue WK Porto, which will take place on the last weekend of the festival (29th and 30th of April). Mother Léa Ninja, Jay Jay Revlon and Cody West will be responsible for the workshops on those days.
