Like a volcano, this solo holds layers of history beneath the surface, waiting to erupt. I work with states of surrender – allowing movement to emerge from a place beyond conscious control, as if guided by subterranean currents. Through this process, I invite the body to become a site of excavation, where forgotten or repressed energies find form. The choreography follows a structured framework while allowing space for improvisation, keeping the performance raw and alive at the moment. It blends classical precision with expressive, chaotic, and theatrical elements, mirroring the unpredictability of life. — Tânia Carvalho
