The Death at the Club is a solo work that can be presented either individually or with multiple bodies simultaneously, with an exact duration of 45 minutes. The piece explores the spectacle of an allegorical club through electronic music, testing bodily endurance and the limits of dance through the insistent repetition of a single movement pattern. Created in 2018, this performance was Candela Capitán’s first work. In it, she began to reflect on concerns that recur throughout her practice, such as alienation, free will, violence, fear, and the illusory sense of protection offered by social networks. — Candela Capitán
