Assombro
© Simon Jourdan

Existent but overlooked, that shadow is part of the subject and his cultural identity.

Assombro is a solo piece made up of a series of living tableaux, songs that arise from a voice dislocated from the mouth. It seeks to understand the ghosts haunting us today by dancing and reviving Portuguese traditional songs. It calls them, listens to their voices and looks for transgression through means of dissociation.
