We invite artists, specialists and
journalists to get together and to elaborate on the relevant topics of the
times we are currently facing – or in other words, how does art make us reflect
on the world and society, or in more words – how do artistic practices
translate and are translated into the now.
In an edition that brings together numerous national artists, we decided
to bring them together to talk about issues that have been concerning us, in a
format that, by not talking directly about their works, makes them think about
how their creations are inserted in expanded topics.
There will be 4 talks that will be held throughout the Festival, in a
digital format and mark a beginning to question the future, through the present
moment.
Talk #3: Hot bodies & clubbing: practices for a
possible escape
With Jonas & Lander, Renan
Martins, Lúcia Azevedo and moderated by Isilda Sanches
Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody
Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (Ah)
Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody
Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (Baow)
What room exists for escape nowadays? How do we practice the sensuality
of sweaty bodies with a common beat, without speaking, only with the presence
of the mass, of the collective? How do we transcend physical matter through
fatigue? How are our bodies transformed in our homes and at home? What is the
possible escape within corporeal boundaries? How does our skin become an
insurmountable boundary?
Lúcia Azevedo – general manager of Lux nightclub, in Lisbon, talks to
Jonas & Lander, whose premiering creation, Bate Fado, intends to
reinterpret and recover the act of tapping (tap dancing) Fado, and to Renan
Martins de Oliveira, who in Viaduto, is inspired by the concept of party
and an organic union of each individual that forms a whole, in a talk moderated
by the radio journalist Isilda Sanches.
