A verse by Gonçalo M. Tavares, one of the guest writers for this session, inspires
a "Reading Thursday" entirely dedicated to dance. A poetic storyboard, based on a universe of movement, of dance and of the body, with iconic poetic texts (Herberto Helder, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andersen, António Botto, António Ramos Rosa, Natália Correia, Alexandre O'Neill, Ruy Belo, Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Adília Lopes, amongst others). Mariana Magalhães will be doing the readings, and dialoguing, in one of the poems, with the dancer Joana von Mayer Trindade. The performer Sónia Baptista will make a solo presentation. A reflection on the loving relationship between the body and poetry. Finally, the choreographer Tânia Carvalho surprises us at the piano with her songs, one of which has lyrics by Valter Hugo Mãe. José Caldeira will be responsible for photographing the session, producing a selection of magical moments of dance that will transform and unsettle the stages at the Teatro Municipal do Porto.
