“Passinho” is a dance born in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, in the “bailes Funk”, and is already considered the first genuinely carioca urban dance style. That dance evolved and gained space outside the favelas, through battles, just like hip hop ones. Today “passinho” is know all over Brazil and related styles have already emerged, such as “dancinha”.
