object-dance: a body in the city

The city does not exist without the body. There will always be someone else who observes that body that moves, attributing meanings and narratives to it. The city is a privileged place for artistic creation insofar as it is constituted as an open narrative structure, reflecting individual opinions and dramaturgies that will contextualise a particular social moment. In this sense, we can move forward with the idea that interpersonal and social memories play a crucial role in the construction of the scenic space. This is based on the assumption that the public space is a space of representation and performance similar to a performance hall where life happens. In this way, the performance of the world is reorganised at every moment according to individual perceptions and the justifications that are given.

This project arises from a personal and urgent desire: Isabel Barros invites long-time friends to reflect the ephemeral of an individual and intrapersonal body in the city. The challenge is set to Max Oliveira, Pedro Carvalho and Cláudia Marisa. They have accepted it!

Dance in a dialogue from the movement of each performer and a soundscape. The stories already shared and those that are being constructed in the moment create an object-dance that is presented to the public. No network. But with the truth of the here and now.
