"Paradigm" is a dance with the exoticism of nowhere. A ritualistic reclaiming of difference and citizenship. A landscape created from a "cadavre exquis" of paradoxical references drawn from the places we are born, the places we live, the places we have never been and, above all, fictional places. All this brought together through a daily practice. The body, as mechanical part of a greater organic body - the stage itself. This body is dedicated to a ceremony whose consequences are never direct or obvious. It is also a job description, from a time before the division between architect and builder. A workforce that uses backyard engineering to produce abstract symbols from complex materials. A body that through this practice enters a process of abstraction, in a bid to escape its own anthropomorphism. - Dinis Machado

Dinis Machado lives and works between Stockholm and Porto, where he was born. He has an MA in Choreography from DOCH in Stockholm, directed by Jefta van Dinther and Frédéric Gies. Since 2007, he has presented his works in Austria, Croatia, Uruguay, France, Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom and Portugal.
