Founded in 2009, Companhia REC is directed by ALICE RIPOLL and works with dancers such as Alan Ferreira, Leandro Coala, Luiz LA, Tony Hewerton and Rômulo Galvão. With an intense production schedule, the company brings together a dynamic group of artists from the periphery of Rio de Janeiro that work on elaborating and recreating contemporary art.

Born in 1956 in Sao Paolo, where she studies classical Ballet and History à the Sao Paolo (USP) University, she is involved in the 70’s in the contemporary dance movement and was in the Maguy Marin dance Company from 1980 to 1982. When she returns, she creates the LIA RODRIGUES Companhia de Danças, in 1990, in Rio de Janeiro with activities all the year round, dance laboratories, creations, classes and rehearsals. In 1992 she creates and runs for forteen years the Panorama Festival, the most important Festival in Rio de Janeiro.

LINN DA QUEBRADA is a multimedia artist who in 2016 found in music another realm in which to fight for the breaking of sexual, gender and body paradigms. Her first single, Enviadescer [Fairysation], triggered a hubbub because of its straight up lyrics and a video clip that prominently featured transvestites and effeminate bodies. That would be the main concept Linn conveyed in the songs she released, such as Talento and Bixa Preta.
