Balé da Cidade de São Paulo is a meeting place for different dance vocabularies, articulating practices and modes of creation in dialogue with the city and its contexts. Created in 1968 within the scope of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, the group has focused its activity on contemporary dance since the 1970s. As a public artistic body, it develops a repertoire that articulates creations and remounts, understood as processes of critical updating, expanding its forms of relationship with the public and with the urban space.
