Éric Minh Cuong Castaing is a choreographer and visual artist and founded the Shōnen company, in 2007. Éric is now an associate artist with Montpellier Danse and, with his company, at the Centre national de la création adaptée (CNCA) in Morlaix, Bourges European Capital of Culture 2028, and in partnership with the Comédie de Genève and the Collection Lambert in Avignon. His choreographic research explores relational modes that aim to subvert the binaries between reality and fiction, nature and culture, organic and artificial. He brings into play bodies and choreographic writings in their aesthetic plurality and political diversity, bringing together professional and/or amateur dancers, some of whom have disabilities or impairments.
