Gaya de Medeiros is a dancer, actress and director. She has worked with several choreographers and directors in Portugal. As far as cinema is concerned, she starred in the short film Um Caroço de Abacate [An Avocado Pit], by Ary Zara, which won awards at several festivals. She created the performances Atlas da Boca [Mouth Atlas] (2021), BAqUE [THuMP] (2022), Pai para Jantar [Father for Dinner] (2023) and Cafézinho (2024), which have travelled to more than 15 countries and 26 cities. She founded BRABA, a platform that aims to support, enable and finance initiatives starred by/aimed at the trans and non-binary community.
