João Oliveira started his career at Balleteatro where he concluded the Theatre course and later concluded the Dance degree at Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom. During his training, he had the opportunity to collaborate with various directors and choreographers such as Luís Mestre, Nuno M. Cardoso, Antonia Grove, Impermanence Dance Company, among others. In 2017, he was awarded the "Paralelo - 20 minutos" creation grant by Teatro Municipal do Porto, where he presented "Antes que Mude de Ideias". In 2019, he assisted Eddy Becquart with choreography, and in 2020, he taught and choreographed the students of the Performact school in Torres Vedras. At the moment, he is developing the company "LAP.SO" with Andreia Fraga, that will premiere the first piece "Dois Peixes em Marte" in the Festival DDD Corpo+Cidade 2021, and became an associated artist at Visões Úteis in the binomial 2021/2022.
