Jonathan Uliel Saldanha is a composer, visual artist and director. His work explores themes such as pre-language, cybernetics, animism and speculative environments through sound and performance. In the 2024/2025 season, he presented his first solo exhibition, SURFACE DISORDER. As an associate artist at the Teatro Municipal do Porto in 2020/2021 and 2021/2022, he presented works including Red Mercury, Lithium Faust and Lake Libidinal. His work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Serralves Museum, Palais de Tokyo and the Centro Cultural de Belém. Founder of the collective SOOPA, Saldanha also leads the collectives HHY & The Macumbas and HHY & The Kampala Unit.
