Marco da Silva Ferreira has a degree in physiotherapy, and has been a professional performer since 2008, having worked with choreographers such as André Mesquita, Hofesh Shechter, Sylvia Rijmer, Tiago Guedes, Victor Hugo Pontes and Paulo Ribeiro, among others. He made his debut as a choreographer in 2012 with “Nevoeiro 21” [Fog 21], and since then he has presented several performances. He received the Young Portuguese Creator 2015 Award for “Hu(r)mano” (2014), which made him known at home and abroad. “Brother” (2017) is his most recent work. He also worked as assistant choreographer in theatre productions and as artistic assistant to Victor Hugo Pontes.
