Miguel Pereira
Miguel Pereira studied at Escola de
Dança do Conservatório Nacional and at Escola Superior de Dança. He was a fellow in Paris, New York and Amsterdam.
As a performer he worked with Francisco Camacho, Vera
Mantero, Jorge Silva Melo, among others. He worked with Jérôme Bel in Shirtologia
(Miguel).
He emphasises the works António Miguel - for which he was awarded the Revelation Prize José Ribeiro da Fonte from the
Ministry of Culture and was awarded an honourable mention in Acarte/Maria
Madalena Azeredo Perdigão (2000) - António e Miguel, a new
collaboration with Antonio Tagliarini (2010), Op. 49 (2012), WILDE (2013) a collaboration with mala voadora,
Repertório para Cadeiras, Figurinos e Figurantes (2015) for
Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte and Peça para Negócio and Peça feliz (2017). He has been performing and teaching in
Europe, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile.
