Mónica Calle is an actress, stage director and artistic director of Casa Conveniente since 1992. Her career has been recognized by her creations from classical authors’ texts and music pieces and by the development of workshops with actors and non-actors who she regularly includes in her creations. Calle is part of a generation that led Portuguese theatrical creation to new paths in the early 1990s. Today, her work is internationally recognized by pieces, such as Ensaio Para Uma Cartografia and Carta. Calle was awarded several times as an actress and a director.
