Raul Maia

Raul Maia is a Portuguese creator, choreographer and performer born in 1981. He lived in Austria for 12 years and has recently returned to Portugal. His work is based on the creation of physical artistic practices, which create alternative languages and behaviours through the reformulation of the conditions that precede movement and its relation to thought.

Within the scope of performative creation, he is also dedicated to the composition of soundscapes/sound dramaturgies that contextualise his stage works.
