Vânia Rodrigues
Vânia
Rodrigues (Porto, 1979) is a cultural Manager, researcher and
consultant in the areas of strategic planning and cultural management. She has a degree in
European Studies (FLUP, 2001) and a master in Cultural Policy and Management
from City University of London (2009). She
is currently preparing her PhD thesis in Artistic Studies – Theatre and Performative
Studies at the University of Coimbra. She is a Researcher-Collaborator of
CEIS20/UC.
She was responsible for the strategy,
management and international circulation of the theatre company mala voadora, and for co-programming the company's own venue (2013-2018). She was Strategy
Advisor at Artemrede (2014-2017), having led the elaboration work of their
"Plano Estratégico e Operacional 2015-2020" and co-coordinated the
international conference and the edition of the book "Políticas Culturais
para o Desenvolvimento". She is currently a member of their Advisory Board. She was a
coordinator at Setepés - Projectos Artístico-Culturais, having been a consultant for
several Portuguese organisations, including EGEAC and TNDMII in Lisbon or A
Oficina, in Guimarães.
She is regularly active as a
teacher/trainer in cultural management and production, strategic planning
and project, management, as well as a curator, speaker and
moderator at several professional and/or scientific conferences and debates. She works as an independent
expert in national tenders. Occasionally publishes in books, magazines,
newspapers and on the blog www.biccristalescritanormal.blog, having edited in 2020 "AS
PRODUTORAS - Produção e Gestão Cultural em Portugal. Trajectos Profissionais (1990-2019)"
(Publisher Caleidoscópio).
