AS PRÁTICAS PROPICIATÓRIAS DOS ACONTECIMENTOS FUTUROS
Image

Between 1966 and 1968, this curator, theoretician and multidisciplinary artist undertakes an extensive study and photographic survey on Portuguese popular sculpture, exploring the possibility of “another art history”, or even an “anti-art”.

Later, Ernesto de Sousa, who already had brief career as a film director, makes a detour toward avant-garde and experimental art, becoming very close to the Fluxus movement and artists such as Wolf Vostell, Robert Filliou, George Maciunas and Joseph Beuys.
