Ensuring the right of access and participation is more than a will, it is an obligation. DDD – Festival Dias da Dança works to overcome the asymmetries and existing limitations – from physical accessibility to communication and mediation with its audiences, in its diversity – creating specific conditions, so that a larger number of people can, equitably, participate and enjoy our spaces and our programme.
Access to the buildings
All the venues (except RAMPA) and their respective toilets are accessible to people using wheelchair.
Access to programme
Besides physical accessibility, DDD – Festival Dias da Dança has been implementing accessibility and inclusion practices in its communication, mediation and programme, namely the use of genderless terms in its own contents and the realization of sessions and activities with interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language (ILGP) and audio description, aiming to gradually increase the offer of these services.
Interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language (ILGP)
The two performances of Anda, Diana, at Teatro Municipal Matosinhos Constantino Nery (April 29 and 30, 7:30pm), and Samba de Guerrilha, at Coliseu Porto Ageas (April 27, 10pm), will have Portuguese Sign Language interpretation.
Audio description*
The first dates of Anda, Diana, at Teatro Municipal Matosinhos Constantino Nery (April 29, 7:30pm), and miramar (April 24, 7:30pm), at Teatro Rivoli, will have audio description.
* In these sessions, 1 hour before the start of the performance (April 24 and 29, 6:30pm), there is a moment of prior recognition of the space (and, if possible, a tactile approach to the set design, costumes, with the presence of the cast). It is also possible to consult the information about the performance in Braille in advance.
If you are accompanied by a guide dog, we ask that you contact the Ticket Office of Teatro Municipal do Porto in advance, in order to guarantee a suitable place for you and your guide dog.
