As the founder and artistic director of Something Great, I have developed a range of strategies and tools in this field that I intend to share with the participants. These have significantly increased the visibility of the artists associated to our organization, enabling them to showcase their works in festivals and theaters around the world. Throughout the workshop, we will discuss what I consider to be best practices and common pitfalls to avoid in this field. We will also examine how promoting performing arts internationally is more a process of artistic curation and cultural mediation, rather than a commercial one. Ultimately, the goal of this workshop is to enhance attendees' understanding of the importance of artistic curation and mediation in promoting contemporary performing arts on a global scale, and provide them with knowledge and methods that they can apply to their own work and projects. — Rui Silveira
